DATA REPRESENTATION

OKAY,NOW WE KNOW COMPUTER OPERATION....BUT WE STILL DON'T KNOW HOW..ISN'T??

HOW THE COMPUTER OPERATE??
-THEY OPERATE BY REPRESENTING DATA THAT ELECTRONICALLY BY USING 2 BINARY DIGIT  1 (ON) AND 0 (OFF)



WHAT IS BINARY NUMBER??
-  number system that have 2 unique digit (1)(0)

WHY??
-to represent electronic status of bits in memory.
-also used for other purpose: addressing memory location

WHAT IS HEXADECIMAL NUMBER??
- number system that uses 16 different symbols (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D,E,F)

WHY??
-shorthand method/ representing binary digit stored in computer
- its not gonna be misread by people as it represent by other symbols (C9A1 )




OKAY..NOW WE'RE CLEAR WITH NUMBERING SYSTEM..
NEXT,I TEACH ON HOW TO CONVERT THESE NUMBERING SYSTEM..

DIFFERENCE OF TWO CATEGORIES OF COMPUTER


People mostly confused by the these two categories of computer whereby mobile computer &devices with personal computer

-computer that can perform all input, processing,output & storage activities by itself
size: fit on desk
•speed: depends on memory & processor
•storage: depends on hard drive size

- computer : personal computer that can carry from place to place
• e.g : net book (smaller, not as powerful as notebook computer)

: notebook computer

•storage : small storage media
• e.g : media player (iPod, mp 3)
: digital camera


# SO THE DIFFERENCE OF THESE TWO COMPUTER ARE :
